beyerdynamic's new live vocal condenser microphone TG-X 930 is nominated for 2008 TEC Awards. The TEC Awards are presented by the Mix Foundation For Excellence In Audio, which is dedicated to promoting excellence in audio, video, music and other communications media arts. The TEC Awards will be presented during the AES Convention in San Francisco, CA October 3, 2008. And the winner is ... the Opus series
At the prolight+sound 2008 in Frankfurt the Opus series of microphones was awarded with the mipa award for the best drum microphone series in 2007/2008. 100 magazines from all over the world got together to vote for the best products of 2007/2008 in more than 40 categories. The awards have been presented to the winners at a special mipa-Party/Awards-Ceremony held during Musikmesse / Prolight + Sound, March 13th, 2008. Using the capsule of the MC 930 true condenser microphone as a basis, beyerdynamic developed a first-class vocal microphone with the TG-X 930. Due to the typically small pick-up distance with vocal microphones, the proximity effect of the cardioid capsule was compensated to achieve absolutely neutral transmission of even the subtlest vocal nuances.
